Resipi : Kek Funfetti yang sedap dan cantik

Hari sabtu lepas pegi Jaya Grocer di Enpire, beli barang dapur macam biasa. Tiap-tiap minggu memang rutin aku & husband. Groceries kami macam biasalah macam budak-budak, ice cream, yogurt, cereals 3 jenis, susu, sosej. Pernah skali kakak aku ikot beli groceries, dia gelakkan kitorg, di ckp groceries mcm budak umur 12 tahun. Haha

So lepas beli barang tuh, jalan2 la kejap. Rasa nak makan menda manis, so aku jengukla kejap kedai2 yang jual kek tuh. Padam kejap niat nak beli kek sbb tgk harga mahalnya. Kalau kek yg letak berries2 ke kacang2 ke paham jugak la mahal. Ini setakat kek biasa letak buttercream pun RM16.90. Tiba2 rasa marah pulak Haha. Aku bukannya mengira pasal makan ni..tp rasanya melampau sangat harga kek tuh. Agak2 la nak letak harga kan.

So dengan nekadnya lepas tu aku gi kedai barang baking supplies beli barang-barang nak buat kek. Tak sampai rm 20 pun cost semua barang tuh. So balik, malam tu teruz aku buat. Nak makan sepotong kek punya pasal dah jadi sebijik kek sbb marah harga kek mahal sangat. Haha. Resipi ni mudah jer. Aku dapat dari Tastemade. Kalau birthday ke nak rai apa2 ker aku rasa sesuai sangat but kek tuh sbb cantik dan sedap.

Kek ni lembut dan moist. Kalau tak nak manis sangat, bole kurangkan gula.

Bab menghias ni ikot suka la. Kalau aku, aku just letak je icing in between 2 kek tuh dan keliling, dan tabur sikit sprinkles. Kalau korg rajin nak pipe ke nak hias macam2 ke, buat lahh.

Review : Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

I have been eyeing this liquid lipstick for quite sometimes. I've read some really good reviews from the internet that this liquid lipstick is one of the best liquid lipsticks in the market.

So when Sephora Malaysia announced it's arrival, i went to the stores to try out some of the colors. I wanted to try out Bow N Arrows since I was looking for a nude lipstick. Unfortunately, Bows and Arrows is not available in-store, so i tried out Lolita II instead. Much to my surprise, this color i think looks good on me. Haha

So went on Sephora Online and order these 2 babies. It arrived 2 days later with free Tattoo Liner (Mini).

I loooooove this liquid lipstick. It is one of the best liquid lipsticks in the market. It is highly pigmented. One single swipe is all you need. the application is smooth and it took long enough for you to apply before it gets dry to matte finish. The formula is great, it gets dry as any other liquid lipstick but i can say it is bearable ( i have a veryyy dry and flaky lip but the cracks doesnt show that much). And lastly the staying power is no joke. I have it on me for 7 hours straight with eating and drinking and the power stays on.

I have nothing bad to say about this liquid lipstick. Looking forward to order the rest of the colors.

Sedapnyaa Ice Cream di Fat Baby SS15

Lepas makan ayam penyet Api yang sangat pedas tu, mulut ni mula la craving benda-benda manis. So terus pegi Fat Baby Ice Cream di SS15.

Yes! Bole belek2 lama sikit nak makan apa.

Sampai kat kaunter je dah nampak Salted Caramel my favourite. Server kat kaunter tu greet and teruz offer rasa dulu semua flavour sebelom decide. Baik betol. Mmg kedai ice cream akan bg kita rasa dulu, tapi inilah first time aku dioffer sebelom sempat cakap apa-apa. Kalau kat haagen-dasz, siap buat muka boring je server tu kalau mintak rasa.

Tapi aku time tu dah xnak rasa2 dah. (Sbb dah nampak salted caramel ice-cream). So aku dgn husband aku order Get Stuffed. Get Stuffed ni 5 scoop ice cream and 2 waffles.

Bila waiter tu bawa kat meja, rupanya besar betol waffle tu. Bole makan 4 orang. Aiskrim kat cni mmg sedap. Flavour dia lain dari ice-cream2 chain kat malaysia. Paling aku suka, salted caramel ice-cream. Masin tu mmg spot on dgn manis caramel tu. 2nd flavour aku suka coffee pie crust. Sedapnya..
In the end ice cream habis, waffle ada cikit xhabis. Kalau datang 4 org, bole la order ni. Kalau setakat 2 orang, maka sure korang betol2 lapar.

Price wise, murah sikit dari baskin robbins or haagen dasz but rasa ice cream tu sedap sangat. Flavour ice creams kat cni berubah-rubah. So kalau korg ada preferred flavour, call la dulu sebelom datang nak mengelakkan kekecewaan.

P/s : nnt nak pegi lagi. Haha

Detox Water : Lemon Ginger & Honey

I am usually very cautious when it comes to eating nowadays. You can say i am a foodie since I love food and always on a look-out for good restaurants and recipes for me to indulge in. But since my body metabolism has not been very good too me for the past 2 years (the extra kilograms are now my new best friends), i kind of watch what i eat and drink.

Last weekend has been such a guilty pleasure for me. Friday night I was at Fatty Crab Restaurant eating Chili Crab with bread and fried rice, Saturday was Ayam Penyet and Ice Cream at Fat Baby Ice Cream and Sunday i had Chicken Rice with my in-laws plus pizza and Donuts with Belgian Chocolate with my best friends later.

Oh my God, by the end of the weekend, I was feeling so guilty and fat. I even had a dream last night where people are calling me Fat. So today I woke up early and jog for 3km jogs and workout and after that google for cleansing recipe. I stumbled upon La Juiceria cold-pressed juiced and order online a 1-day detox juice program (going to blog about it later) but juices are going to be delivered by Wednesday.

I have no choice. I have to detox fast. In the end i made myself my usual remedy. Honey Ginger and Lemon. Just mix 1 liter of warm water with 6 slices of lemon and 3 tablespoon of honey. Let it sit for 10 minutes and ready for drink. Usually the effect will start to kick in after you had 1 glass of this. (you will pee constantly). But it do make your body feel more energize. Lemon as you might know, has a very high antioxidant effect and help to cleanse your body. Ginger is very helpful to raise your metabolism and reduce bloating. Try it.

P/S : Can't wait for me La-Juiceria to be delivered.

Makan di Fatty Crab Taman Megah

Friday night yeehaa!
Tiap-tiap minggu hari Jumaat husband akan bawa dinner kat luar. Selalunya hari weekdays mmg kami dinner di rumah je. So weekend gantung kuali makan kat luar jer.

Hari khamis husband dah ckp awal2 dia nak makan di Nirwana nasi daun pisang tu. (Husband aku mmg suka sgt makan kat ctu). Aku pulak iyerkan saja sbb aku pun xsure nak makan kat mana.

Tp alih2 husband aku ajak makan ketam di Fatty Crab. Gigih betol husband aku siap balik awal sbb nak sampai kedai tu sebelum pukul 7. Kalau x kena beratur.

Sampai je auntie terus ambil order. Order ketam sekati setengah, nasi goreng untuk 2 org makan, roti bakar 4 keping ( cicah dgn kuah ketam), chinese tea 2 cawan (bole refill sampai kembong perot).

Seperti kedai chinese lain, mmg laju makanan tu sampai walaupun ramai orang.

Makanan dah sampai

Ketam cili

Nasi goreng

Ketam tu cicah roti kuah mmg sedap. Pedas untuk aku yang xtahan pedas + masam2. But sedap. Husband aku ckp pedas ok jer. Aku paling suka nasi goreng. Kalau chinese yang goreng mmg sedap walaupun kosong jer. Aku nak order chicken wing, tp sbb awal sgt sampai, chicken wing tak ada lagi.

Total makan RM87. Mmg kenyang sangat dan berbaloi. Paling best dapat roti bakar lebih free of charge sbb auntie tu ckp roti hari ni kecik. Terharu betol aku. Aku mmg suka kedai tak mengira macam ni. Masa bayar pun auntie tu xkira sen-sen. Walaupun 20 sen diskaun, aku tetap rasa terharu. Haha next time dtg lg yee auntie.

Quinoa and Grilled Chicken

Quinoa Oh Quinoa!

First time cuba masak quinoa memang fail. Jadi keras dan pahit. Then terus simpan quinoa tu jauh-jauh dalam almari. Masa kemas-kemas pantry rumah nampak bekas quinoa tuh, nak buang sayang pulak sebab agak mahal harga sepeket. So dengan gigihnya lepas tu meng"google" macam mana nak masak quinoa so that jadi sedap.

Rupanya nak masak quinoa ni ada sukatan dia. Setiap 1 cawan quinoa + 2 cawan air.

Rasa dia macam kacang2 tp lembut. Kaya dengan protein dan sangat mengenyangkan.

Resipi Quinoa dengan Grilled Chicken

Quinoa

1 Cawan quinoa
2 Cawan air
2 ulas bawang putih
1 sudu kecil serbuk ketumbar
1 batang cili kering
1/2 sudu kecil serbuk jintan manis
1/2 sudu kecil serbuk jintan putih
1/2 sudu kecil garam
1 sudu stok pati ayam maggi

Grilled Chicken

2 ketol ayam bahagian dada
1 sudu besar cayenne pepper
1/2 sudu kecil lada hitam
Sedikit garam

Cara-cara

Nak sedap lagi, masukkan 3 ulas bawang putih sekali dgn ayam tuh. ( tak payah peel bawang putih..letakkan seketol2).

Kids or Without Kids

Me and my husband are approaching our 5th year anniversary. Boy, time really flies. It doesn’t really feel like it’s already 5 years we’ve been married. Plus the dating period, we’ve been together for 7 years.

As any married couple, the next day after your “akad”, people will start wishing you all the  “cepat-cepat dapat baby” thingy. Days become months, months become years, still, and there is no whatever signs of any baby popping out soon. Then the “ADVICE” and “EXPERIENCE” start to flow in.

I am really ok when the questions are like “any kids?” or “are you planning”. Trust me, it doesn’t really bother me at all. But the annoying part was the ADVICE and EXPERIENCE after you answer “No kids yet”. We have acquaintance (who we barely talk to) starts giving advice on “how-to-do-it” and saying married life isn’t a married life if you don’t have children on your own. The meaner one would say that the husband will leave you if you could not bear any children. This feels like high schools again.

Why people like to assume the horrible things about not yet having kids? There are plenty of things that you could enjoy before having children. You could go brunching on weekends peacefully without one have to hold a baby, travelling would be easier since no stroller and no uncomfortable baby’s crying in the plane, your partner focus will be on you only and dinner date is easier since you don’t have to arrange for a nanny.

To be honest, my husband and I are happy on our own. We might not be perfectly happy (of course there are arguments here and there) but none of them are about not having any children. If I could remember, the first time we had the talk about children is after 2 years of marriage. Of course we would love to have kids on our own, but we are no way nearer of breaking our back and bones to have kids!

I marry my husband because I love him. He treats me like a queen, do whatever he can to make me happy, and always the one to surrender and say sorry first every time we had a fight (Queen ego never back down! Haha), and respect my families. If we desperately want children right now, believe me, we will do whatever it takes. But right now, we still enjoying just-the-two-of-us time.

Kids or no kids, we our own define our relationship. I’ve seen husband leaving his wife after 3 kids and 5 years marriage, I’ve seen couple growing old together without any kids. It is unfair to say that kids alone improve our marriage. Couples should be about loving and appreciate each other with or without kids.  Wish us the best in the world would be enough.

Resipi Spicy Aglio Olio Favourite

Jarang-jarang aku makan pasta kat luar, Kalau makan pun sebab malas nak masak sesangat or teringin makan sesangat. Sebabnya, mostly resepi pasta ni mudah sangat, bahan pun tak banyak macam nak buat rendang, cepat, dan bila kita masak sendiri kita tahu kita letak bahan apa.

Kali ni resipi yang nak dishare ni aku dah banyak kali buat try and error dan dah google and try banyak resipi Aglio Olio. Aglio Olio ni bermaksud Oil and Garlic. Kalau betol2 resipi org Italy diorang hanya letak Olive Oil, bawang putih and pasta. Aku suka masak pasta ni sebab senang dan pasta ni one of my husband favourite.

Resipi ni kalau tak nak pedas, tak payah masukkan cili padi.
Air rebusan spagetti jangan dibuang.

2 Ulas Bawang Putih
1 batang cili padi (dihiris - kalau xnak pedas jangan letak)
1/2 biji Capsicum kuning
20 biji cherry tomato (kalau suka masam lagi, letak banyak)
1/2 biji lemon
Daun Basil
Dry Italian Herb (pakai jenama McCormick)
Daun Pasli
Lada hitam
Garam
Parmesan cheese

Cara-Cara

1. Didihkan satu jug air dengan 2 sudu kecil garam (Air mesti masin macam air laut). Bila air mula menggelegak, masukkan spagetti. Rebus sampai almost masak, (Jangan terlampau masak sebab nanti kita nak goreng pulak dalam kuali. Bila dah siap toskan, air rebusan Spagetti jangan dibuang.

2. Panaskan Olive Oil dalam kuali. Masukkan bawang putih, cili padi, capsicum dan tomato. Gorengkan sekejap sehingga tomato kecut sedikit.

(Hati-hati letak garam sebab air spagetti dah masin.)

4. Perahkan lemon dan masukkan daun basil, dry italian herb dan daun pasli akhir sekali.

5. Siap dimakan. Taburkan parmesan cheese sedikit sebelum makan.

Breakfast di Village Park Restaurant

Last 2 weeks aku and husband kena denggi. So 2 minggu jugakla kitorang dua tak lalu makan. Tak tahu la pulak bila kena denggi selera makan hilang, kalau makan pun muntah balik. So lepas baik denggi, selera makan pun pulih, mula lah nak makan macam-macam.

Bangun pagi Ahad harituh, Husband aku cakap nak breakfast nasi lemak. Area sunway ni kalau pagi2 ahad nak cari breakfast kedai Melayu agakla susah. So pikir punya pikir, teringat Village Park nasi lemak, Bulan lepas ada la try pegi, tp disebabkan lepas jogging dalam pukul 9.30 sampai2 je Ya Allah! Orang macam ulat. Seat pun xde, so tak jadi makan.

So pagi Ahad nie. dalam pukol 8.00 kitorg pun drive. Village Park Restaurant ni locationnya di kami panggil Damansara Uptown. Sampai2 je Alhamdulillah orang tak ramai sangat. Seat pun ada. Duduk2 je waiter ambik order. Husband aku order nasi lemak biasa, aku order nasi lemak ayam goreng. Aku mintak bahagian dada, sbb aku kurang gemar bahagian peha, tp waiter tu ckp ayam bahagian peha je jual. (Eh!) xperla, aku terima seadanya.

                                                                 Nasi lemak

Nasi lemak sampai je nampak mcm sedap. Ayam tu aku kongsi ok dengan husband aku sbb besar. Rasa dia ok la..sedap. Ayam pun rangup. But aku lebih suka nasi lemak Mali sebab sambal dia manis. Aku suka kalau nasi lemak sambal manis. Husband aku makan habis sepinggan, so aku buat conclusion sedap sbb husband aku tu cerewet bab makan.

Kalau korang nak datang sini weekend, sila datang awal2, preferably sebelum pukol 9.
Restaurant ni aku tgk bukan je Melayu customers dia, Cina, India pun ramai.

PS : Gambar xsempat snap banyak2 sbb lapar sangat.

Resipi Tat Nenas Sedap dan Menjadi

Selamat Berpuasa!

Raya dah nak dekat.

Aku ambik dari Azie Kitchen since most of the recipes from blog tu menjadi bila aku try. So sape2 nak buat tat nenas boleh refer Blog Azie Kitchen.

Resipi : Lemon Tart (Tarte Au Citron)

Aku suka sangat masak. Dari masak lauk, kuih2 melayu sampaila masak kuih2 mat saleh, Jadi tak jadi belakang cerita. Kalau time2 aku stress lepas balik dari kerja, aku suka sangat masak. Kadang2 suami aku pun heran pukol 10 malam isnin dok pong pang pong pang buat kek. Padahal xde orgnak makan. Esoknya mula la aku paksa suami aku habiskan atau aku bawa pegi opis paksa office2 mate aku makan hahah (sedap x sedap aku xkisah, janji xbuang dalam tong sampah).

Minat aku memasak nie bila aku start tgk rancangan2 memasak kat TV. Baru2 ni aku minat sangat rancangan British Bake Off dekat channel 728 Astro. Best tengok tukang2 masak amatur macam aku ni buat kek2 and kuih2 yang marvellous..pastu paling best bila kadang2 tuh kek2 tu tak jadi mcm kek2 aku buat sebelom nie hahah. Yelah kalau tgk yg professional punya, mmg semedang je jadikan, so rakyat2 marhaen mcm kita ni kompom2 la rasa rendah diri.

Ok. Aku nak kongsi resipi dari salah satu episod British Bake Off Season 1. Tarte Au Citron. Aku memang suka menda2 masam2 manis. so Tart ni mmg menepati citarasa aku. Tadaa!! Ini hasilnya. recipe ni suggested buat sebijik besar. Tp sbb aku xde tart pan besar, so aku buat pakai muffin cup biasa.Separuh dari full recipe aku dpt dlm 6 bijik besar muffin pan biasa. Mmg recipe dia berjela, but sebenarnya xsusah mana pun. So kalau weekend free, xder menda nak buat Bole la try!Memang sedap recipe Mary Berry nie. Selamat Mencuba!

Ni hasilnya ; Tarte Au Citron

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Mary BerryMary Berry

From The Great British Bake Off

Ingredients

For the pastry
For the filling

Preparation method

  1. To make the pastry, place the flour, butter and icing sugar into a food processor. Pulse briefly until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs, then add the egg yolk and water.
  2. Pulse again until the mixture sticks together in clumps then tip onto a work surface and gather it into a ball with your hands. Knead the pastry just two or three times to make it smooth. If your butter was a bit too soft, the pastry might be too. If so, wrap it in parchment paper and chill for 15 minutes.
  3. Grease a 23cm/9in loose-bottomed, fluted tart tin.
  4. Lay a piece of parchment paper on the work surface. Remove the base from the tart tin and lay it on the paper. Using a pencil, draw a circle onto the paper 4cm/1½in bigger than the tin base.
  5. Dust the base of the tin with flour. Place the pastry ball in the centre of the tin base and flatten it out slightly. Roll out the pastry, still on the base, until it meets the circle mark. As you are rolling out, turn the pastry by turning the paper. Gently fold the pastry surrounding the tin base in towards the centre.
  6. Carefully lift the tin base off the work surface, drop it into the tin, then ease the pastry into the corners and up the sides of the tin, pressing the overhang lightly over the rim. If the pastry has cracked at all, simply press it together to seal. Press the pastry into the flutes of the tin then lightly prick the base with a fork, but not quite all the way through. Place the pastry-lined tin on a baking tray, cover loosely with cling film and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
  7. Remove the cling film from the pastry case and line with foil so it supports the sides, then fill with baking beans. Bake blind for 12-15 minutes, until the pastry is set, then lift out the foil and beans. Carefully trim the excess pastry from the sides using a sharp knife, holding the knife at a sharp angle and slicing away from you. Remove the trimmings from the sheet. Return the empty pastry case to the oven for another 10-12 minutes or until it is pale golden and completely dry. Set aside to cool while you make the filling. Reduce the oven temperature to 170C/325F/Gas 3.
  8. For the filling, break the eggs into a large bowl and whisk together with a wire whisk. Add the rest of the filling ingredients and whisk again until they are all well combined. Pour the filling mixture into a jug, then into the cooled baked pastry case. To prevent it spilling as it goes in the oven, pour in most of the filling so it almost fills the tart, carefully sit the baking sheet and tart on the oven shelf, then top up with the rest of the filling to completely fill it. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until just set but with a slight wobble in the centre.
  9. Leave to cool slightly then, when the pastry seems firm enough, remove the tart from the tin. The easiest way to do this is to place the base of the tin on an upturned can or jam jar and let the outer ring fall to the work surface. Transfer the tart to a serving plate and serve warm or cold, dusted with sifted icing sugar.

Cakes, Pastries, Muffins yang Melampau Harganya.

Muffins

Sape suka makan muffin. Saya!
Sendiri tanya, sendiri jawab.

Nak kata suka sangat tu tak adalah. Tapi bila datang selera tuh, hari-hari nak makan.
Kalau teringin nak makan muffin, saya suka beli di Kedai Chocolate World. Yer kedai tu mostly jual chocolate tapi dia ada jual Muffin jugak.

Flavour favourite saya, Cherry. Rasa masam-masam kena dengan muffin lembut berlemak tu memang ngam. Masa saya mula-mula start beli, Muffin tu besar, lepas tu cherry kat dalam tu sampai melimpah ruah..sedapnya..Sedap dari muffin-muffin yg saya pernah makan.

Selepas beberapa bulan..
Lalu depan Chocolate World tu, so tetiba teringatla nak beli Muffin Cherry yg menjilat jari tuh..
Masa nak NGAPPP! tuh dah terbayang cherry melimpah ruah kat dalam..bila gigit jer. perghhh...rasa tertipu sangat..ada la 1-2 ketol cherry dalam tuh. Jangan kata limpah-ruah, titik2 pun xder.

Oiiii.. rasa nak marah sgt. Harga pun dah naikkan.

Pavlova @ Serai

Sama la dengan Pavlova kat Serai@Empire tuh.
Walaupun pavlova tu still sedap. but dia dah kurangkan strawberries, rasberries kat atas tuh. Dia 80% diorg letak anggur murah. The best part, diorang raisekan price tuh. Saya sebenarnya bukanla mind nak bayar dah skali skala makan, but geram sangat!!! Dah raisekan price tuh, make sure la makanan tu still up to standard. Tapi nak cakap aperkan, sendiri yang gatal nak makan haha

Red Velvet Cupcakes @ Heavenly Slice Bangsar

OK sebelom complaint nak ckp Red Velvet Cupcakes kat cni mmg sedap. So far yang saya dah try merata-rata kat Malaysia nie, yang ni paling sedap. Buat hargamya JENG JENG JENG! RM8.80 satu. Amacam?? Sanggup bayar? Skali makan sanggup la..lepas tu rasa membazir pulak..Bole dapat nasi kukus ayam berempah plus ada balance RM2.20 lagi.

Orang cakap apsal beli jugak padahal mahal?
Saya jawab, kadang2 dah keja penat, nak jugak indulge diri dengan menda2 yg sedap.
Mmg mostly sedap, tp ridiculously MAHAL!!
